Bruise are a three piece featuring Isobel Morris on guitar and vocals Grahame Skinner on bass, and Jim Kimberly on drums, described as a little bit Nico, a little bit Patti Smith and wittier than both. Isobel has crossed continents several times from her native Yorkshire, from Iowa to the Alaskan wilderness, playing to drunken bushmen, commercial fishermen and other music lovers. Now living in London, she has built up a reputation as singer, writer and performer of rare distinction. After experimenting with various line-ups she was introduced to Grahame and Jim, and the three clicked. The musical understanding between them was immediate and since then many of Isobel's previously acoustic songs have been transformed into the glorious, gritty electric pop of Bruise.
