Bluze

Bluze

BLUZE as a national band, is now in its fourth year of road work around England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland. Since its formation as a trio in 1998 to the four piece that now performs together, BLUZE has generated a firm fan base wherever they appear. The distinct talents and personalities of the players melding together to create an interpretation of the blues that is totally its own. That is not to say that BLUZE see themselves only as a blues band, their approach to music is evolving more from a roots direction, giving them a far wider scope in their search to find material to fit their style, and also in the way they structure the originals they produce from time to time.

They are as happy playing Trowbridge Pump Festival, the Upton Blues Festival as they are the Cruinniu Na Mbad festival in Kinvara Co Galway. This varied approach to their music was showcased on their first CD "BLUZE DEMOZ" with the African drums of Noel Gueye and on their second CD "BLUZE THE BAND" with the additional vocals of American singer Jane Pearl. The band are soon to be headed back to the studio to begin work on their third CD.

BLUZE were featured on "Blues in Britain" magazine's Best of British Blues CD, with a song by Chris Willey that is being recorded by Charlie Musselwhite for a future album release.
The repertoire extends from Willie Dixon to Mose Allison, along with great original tunes.
