Andrew is probably best known to Prommers as the slide guitar and banjo player with BARRELHOUSE BLUES. However, he's been playing his own distinctive brand of acoustic blues since long before he got together with John and Graham.
A slide specialist (he'd prefer to say "bottleneck" to better describe the technique, but can't as he actually uses a bit of BMX bike saddle pillar!), Andrew pays tribute - in his performances - to the great Delta players like Charley Patton, Son House and Robert Johnson. But he also throws in some of his own songs, a few dashes of 60s soul and jazz, and one or two of what he calls "speciality pieces" for good measure.
Andrew has been seen in many pubs around the West, runs the annual blues session at The Village Pump Festival, and played recently at Ray's Jazz Cafe at Foyles in London.
Enjoy him, and enjoy the spirit of The Delta.
