Andi James-
Part acoustic troubadour, part psychedelic rocker, the Guitar Shaman's influences include classic chilled West Coast sounds of JJ Cale, Neil Young, Tom Petty, experimental guitarists Peter Green, Pat Metheney and Jimi Hendrix.
Andi worked as a session musician at studios including Abbey Road, with Gus Dudgeon (producer for David Bowie, Chris Rea) and co-wrote with Busta Jones from Talking Heads.
He has recorded two solo albums, played gigs across the UK, Europe and USA, appeared on BBC Radio, MTV and festivals including Glastonbury.
A strong live performer with a powerful voice, he plays heart felt songs expressing life, love and turmoil in the 21st Century. AJ effortlessly moves between intricate acoustic picking to full on electric guitar improvisation, backed up with solid and funky rhythms from double bassist Bill Crampton and drummer/percussionist Dave Burbridge.
