The band has been growing from strength to strength and everywhere they play the crowd has enjoyed their energy and good mix of songs. All members bring previous experience to this band that combine to give you a well tuned music machine otherwise known as 'Whiskey Position'.

The Musicians

Simon Perry - Bass, b/ vocals

Started playing the bass around the early 90's when a local group of friends decided to start a band. Bands around that time had a major role in influencing his playing style such as; the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Rage Against the Machine, Jamiroqui as well as classics such as Jimi Hendrix, the Beatles and Led Zepplin. After being dorment for the best part of 6 years he joined Whiskey Position and has reignited his passion in music and promises to be one of the most energetic bassists you'll see around the Bristol  circuit.

Luke Erickson - Lead Guitar

Being the lead guitarist Luke could not go wrong with influences such as Jimi Hendrix and Eric Clapton. Luke’s guitar technique is blues based but with a Hendrix rock feel to it, incorporating Joe Satriani finger tapping guitar technique and variation of smooth tone and dirty rock.

James Dando - Lead singer/ Rhythm Guitar

Dando was an accomplished shower singer for many a year, he would find quiet areas to open the gills. Fear of people throwing sharp things at his head upon hearing his voice was a very real concern. One morning he fell out of bed and banged his head on a can of beer (he is not an alcoholic, he just finds it stops him shaking in the morning) From that day on he has had the voice of what can only described as a rather old, and angry walrus.
