The Bones are one of the west country’s treasures, one of the few bands that have maintained the feel and attitude that a rock band is supposed to have. They started out as young contenders ‘Crazy Trains’, knocking the stuffing out of all that went before them, with minimum line-up change they morphed into ‘Crazy Bones’, and for a time included Seers and Zuma front-man Spider and the ubiquitous Mike Crawford.
Having matured into ‘The Bones’ and playing a mix of Stones type R’n’B, early American style garage and Flying Burritos style country rock, John McLean and co have by no means lost the swagger that inspired them to play in the first place. Probably the best rock band in town.
