Clive and Kicking

Clive Oliver - Vocals, Boogie-Woogie Piano
Clive played Hammond Organ with several West of England blues bands. Then, on a visit to New Orleans, he was totally knocked out by the blues piano players he heard there. Since then, he has developed his own boogie style, influenced by Professor Longhair, Amos Milburn, Big Joe Duskin and other sources of authentic blues. Clive is now widely recognised as the South-West's leading boogie-woogie player.

Clive Colton - Blues Guitar
Clive Colton has over 30 years playing behind him, he has worked across Europe and Canada. In the nineties he formed the band 90 Proof, which headlined many Blues festivals in the UK. 90 Proof has three albums to its credit.

Jerry Osborne - Percussion
Jerry Osborne's earliest influences came from the sixties blues boom that swept the UK. He has the skill and sensitivity needed. This comes from over thirty-five years experience and in taking the time to learn the dots. He is a well known figure in the Bristol blues scene, where he has worked with most of the key figures.

Sean McBride - Saxophone
Sean moved to England from San Francisco some years back. Now resident in Bristol, he is widely respected as a teacher, session musician and jazz player. He loves to join Clive and Kicking and let loose with his uninhibited rocking blues playing.
